The Dhaka Film Festival aims to:
Promote quality films with strong social, cultural & human values.
Encourage independent and emerging filmmakers.
Create a space for artistic freedom, innovation, and dialogue.
Strengthen Bangladesh’s presence on the global cinema map.
DFF believes cinema is more than entertainment—it is a powerful medium for awareness, empathy, and change.
We work closely with filmmakers, supporting them at every step – from selection to screening and promotion. Through carefully curated programs and engaging festival events, we help their films reach the right audiences and create lasting impact beyond the festival.
Founded in 2025 by a group of film graduates from Stamford, ULAB, Pathshala, Jagannath & Kabi Nazrul University. The festival was created as a space for film lovers to discover, support, and celebrate outstanding creative talent.
Our mission is to create an inclusive space for filmmakers and audiences to connect, share ideas, and experience the power of cinema.
We work closely with artists, guiding them through the selection and promotion process.
Also strategize, organize exhibitions and sales, and plan for the future. Our publishing house creates supplementary materials to amplify the societal importance of our artists’ work. Represent artists who have made significant contributions to culture and strive to showcase their art in esteemed institutions.
